China has made a decision to revive its tourism sector by offering visa-free entry to citizens from six countries, namely France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia. This policy, effective from December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, permits travelers from these nations to visit China for up to 15 days without a visa. This initiative covers various travel purposes including business, tourism, and family visits.
Adding to its efforts to facilitate travel, China has recently extended its visa-free transit policy to 54 countries, including Norway. This allows foreign travelers passing through China en route to a third country to enjoy a six-day stay in specific Chinese cities without a visa.
The National Immigration Administration reports a significant increase in foreign visits to China, with numbers reaching 26.51 million by the end of October.
